Our Philosophy

We can't develop a strategy for you without first understanding how your business is differentiated from your competition, how your customers want to interact with your brand, and how you expect to measure success. This is why we don't focus on "turnkey" solutions — since turnkey marketing is fundamentally the same as everyone else, you'll struggle to stand out in a crowd and generate meaningful success by chanting "Me too! Me too!"

We Are What Works encourages you to proclaim "Me First" — and that's where we start. We first examine your business' distinctive objectives, personality, and strengths to form a plan of action that will work for you — not everyone else. Just as you first need to know whether you'll traverse a river or a desert before investing in a vehicle, the tools we select for your business may or may not include social media marketing, coupon promotion fundraisers, a website overhaul, or something completely different. It depends on what works for you. That's why We Are What Works.

Our Mission is to serve clients based on their individual best interests, and to act with unwavering integrity in representing marketing services. In doing so, We Are What Works shall achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients devoid of sales-motivated recommendations. We believe this genuine approach to business will permeate good will from agent, to client, and through to the end consumer.

The Founder

Nicole Keith, President & Founder of We Are What Works, has been building web and social media solutions since 2006. At Telligent Systems, a leading social media software company, Nicole managed and advised small business and Fortune 500 companies alike. Prior to Telligent, Nicole produced interactive web sites and 3D animation segments at CAT Studios, managed point of sale and event promotions for household brands such as Verizon and Crayola, and was instrumental in the success of Pinnacle Promotions, a premium coupon business. Growing up, Nicole gained an insider’s perspective to food service via the family-owned restaurant business.

Nicole Keith With early exposure to business, traditional marketing academics, and new media practice, Nicole has developed a practical approach to new technologies while recognizing the effectiveness of traditional marketing that makes business sense. This mindset of choosing the tools for the job—not the job for the tools—is the impetus for We Are What Works.

Nicole is highly regarded by business associates and was named Most Promising Advertising Student of her class at East Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
